Más de 35 indigentes se han atrincherado en el recinto hospitalario, especialmente en el área de Urgencias, generando múltiples incidentes violentos, agresiones, insalubridad, escenas de índole sexual delante de menores y enfrentamientos constantes con el personal de seguridad y sanitario. Desde hace varios años, un grupo de indigentes se ha hecho fuerte en algunas áreas del hospital.
Se trata en su gran mayoría de personas jóvenes y de todas las nacionalidades. Muchos de ellos son toxicómanos y alcohólicos. Están todo el día borrachos y no dudan en orinar en cualquier esquina o enfrentarse al personal facultativo o a los propios usuarios.
